QuietStorm / Slow Jams, Mix 2 – 2025

One of my very first jobs in college was DJing at my college radio station.
I hosted a Quiet Storm show from 10 PM to 1 AM. 🎙️
It wasn’t just a time slot.
It became a moment.
A whole mood.

I loved that first experience.
Being a night owl, it was my musical heaven and my nightly peace. 🌙
Three hours of doing something I loved, with music that meant something to me.

And you already know…
Slow jams are my absolute favorites. ❤️

I love a good party mix, but give me those voices, those harmonies, and a song that takes its time.
Let somebody sing like they’ve got something to lose.
Now you’ve got my attention.

I was very particular about what got played because Quiet Storm isn’t just slow songs…
It’s a trust.
You’re asking somebody to spend part of their night with you.
So you gotta set that mood.
The next record matters.
How you get there matters, too.

That Quiet Storm didn’t end when I left college radio.
I carried it with me when I DJed for 1.FM.
Where I continued the show throughout my time there and I also ran the R&B radio station. 🎧

Every record.
Every transition.
Every vibe.
I chose it all.

And yeah… it was popular for a reason. 😉

I miss my nightly Quiet Storm.
I miss putting that feeling together and sharing it.
That’s why these mixes belong here.
They’re part of my soundtrack, too.📀
